The fair Summer weather in the High Rockies provides relief for those seeking cooler temperatures. From high alpine hiking to paddling Lake Dillon, Summit County has an abundance of activities that are sure to thrill any level of Summer adventure seeker.

    Summer Activities

    Rocky Mountain Coaster

    Located at Copper Mountain, the Rocky Mountain Coaster is 5,800 feet long, making it one of the longest in North America. It descends 430 vertical feet on an average grade of 10.9%! The coaster runs in both the summer and the winter months, allowing adventure seekers to enjoy no matter what time of year they visit. Click here for more information on Copper Mountain's website. 

    The Frisco Adventure Park

    The Frisco Adventure Park has something for everyone, no matter the time of year. The Aventure Park hosts activities in the winter such as tubing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and sleigh rides. In the summer months, the Adventure Park hosts a skatepark, bike park, disc golf course, and chuck wagon rides. Click here for more information on the town of Frisco's website.

    Frisco Historic Park

    Walk through the Frisco Historic Park and imagine life in the mountains across the past centuries, down to the personalities of the prospectors, town officials, influential citizens, and their lives. Besides the collections of artifacts and structures that interpret Frisco and its people, the museum holds regular lectures, guided hikes, tours and other events designed to bring the past to life.     Dillon Marina

    Located at nearly two miles above seas level, the Dillon Marina resides along 25 miles of shoreline on beautiful Lake Dillon and offers rentals of kayaks, standup paddleboards, and boats; sailing lessons, and lakeside casual dining.     Vail Pass Bike Shuttle

    During the Summer months, companies such as Mountain View Sports, Alpine Sports Rental, and Pioneer Sports provide bike rentals in coincidence with shuttle service to the top of Vail Pass. Take in the beautiful scenery of the Ten Mile Range and the Gore Range while coasting on a paved bike path to Frisco or beyond at your own pace. 

    Local Breweries

    In the mood for apres? Summit County is in no shortage of hop flavored options to quench your thirst. Some of the local favorites include Outer Range Brewing in Frisco, Angry James in Silverthorne, Dillon Dam Brewery in Dillon, and Highside Brewing in Frisco. 

    Movies on the Water

    On Sundays between late June and mid-August, the Dillon Amphitheater hosts free movie showings on Sunday nights alongside scenic Lake Dillon. Showings range in audience ratings (G, PG, PG-13, & R). Click here for a list of showings this summer!

    • 401 Creekside

      With gorgeous mountain views and less than 2 blocks from Frisco's Main Sreet, this is a perfect home for a summer mountain getaway. Just a few short blocks to downtown Frisco and the free Summit Stage bus stop, you are close to it all.  With nearby restaurants, shopping, and activities, this is definitely one of the best locations in Frisco.

      Located high in the Wildernest subdivision of Silverthorne, the Prospector Village complex offers some of the best views in the County. What's more, you may access some of the best trails in the county right out your backdoor. The condo is conveniently located to all that the High Country has to offer and is a short drive or bus ride to many area restaurants, bars and shops. There is a free shuttle bus stop near by that will take you to many Summit County destinations including Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain resorts.

      This lovely and affordable 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo has many amenities. The condo is conveniently located to all that the High Country has to offer and is a short drive or bus ride to many area restaurants, bars and shops. The condo is also just across the street from the Rec Path.  There is a free shuttle bus stop near by that will take you to many Summit County destinations including Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain resorts.
